TOUCHING tributes have been paid to the victims of a fatal crash in Althorne, as Essex Police seeks “vital information” to help its investigation.

The families of Kevin Levins, from Burnham, and Joanna Hills, from Hullbridge, have described their heartbreak amid the ongoing investigation.

The family of Kevin Levins has released a statement, describing the 71-year-old as “a loving husband, devoted dad, proud grandad, and dear friend”.

“His kindness, laughter, and steady love filled every room he entered,” they said.

“He was the one you could always count on — for a helping hand, a good story, or a heartfelt smile.

“We will miss him deeply, but we carry him with us always — in our hearts, our memories, and the countless lives he touched.”

Joanna’s family described the 36-year-old as “a generous soul”.

In a statement shared by Essex Police last week, they said: “Joanna is a much-loved daughter, granddaughter, mother, partner, sister and friend.

“She was a kind and generous soul who would do anything for anyone, regardless of the situation.

“She will be truly missed and never replaced.

“We ask that we, Joanna’s family and friends, are given space to grieve and process during this difficult time.”

Essex Police is urging anyone with potentially vital information about the collision to get in touch.

Detectives are now appealing for the occupants of a blue mini, with a white or light-coloured roof and white wing mirrors, to come forward.

“It is believed this vehicle was in the area at the time of the collision and the occupants could have vital information which could help us,” a spokesperson said.

“You can let us know by submitting a report on our website or by using our online Live Chat service which is available 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week."
