COWARDLY thieves stole "irreplaceable jewellery" from the Maldon home of Mrs Hinch's grieving mother, the influencer has claimed.

Burglars forced entry to the property near Keeble Park between 10am and 6pm on Tuesday (January 27). They took items including rings and a necklace.

Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, has amassed 4.9 million Instagram followers with her family and cleaning content.

In a post on Instagram, the mother of three revealed items which belonged to her late father, Alan, had been stolen by "vile individuals".

Sophie, 35, said: "That jewellery may be worthless to you, but it is priceless to my mum.

"She has already lost her husband and is trying to piece her life back together, and you chose to violate her home and rip away what little she had left of him.

"You knew exactly what you were doing. This is beyond theft! It is cruel, disgusting, and cowardly."

Sophie has urged the alleged thieves to return the jewellery.

"Leave it anonymously," she added.

"Hand it in somewhere. Do the right thing!"

Essex Police has launched an investigation into the thefts. At this stage, no arrests have been made.

Acting Detective Inspector Dan Smith said: “This incident has had a significant impact on the victim and her family and that is not lost on us.

“We’re working through a number of lines of enquiry to identify the people responsible.

“There will be a policing presence in the area today as officers carry out house-to-house checks and I would also encourage anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour or has dashcam or doorbell footage of the area within the time period to please come forward.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Essex Police quoting reference 42/13976/26.
