Main bus route between Maldon and Colchester 'extended' to Chelmsford amid changes

A MAJOR Maldon bus route will be extended to Chelmsford from this week, with extra capacity added.

It comes as First Essex’s service changes come into effect this Sunday, April 12.

Under the changes, the 75 bus route will be supported by the new 375 service.

Most service 75 journeys will be extended to Chelmsford via the 333 route, creating a new through-service, the 375.

First Essex says this will support the next stage of the Westcombe Park development in Heybridge and provide new direct connections across Maldon.

Additional school-time capacity will be provided between Colchester and Maldon, with an additional journey provided at 3.50pm.

There will be an additional late evening journey on Fridays and Saturdays between Colchester and Tiptree, departing at 10.50pm.
